Apparently, according to the Chinese zodiac, was are moving from the year of the snake, to the year of the horse. What does that mean? I have no idea, but hopefully it’s good. 2025 was the worst year of my life. I hope I never have to face another like it. Good riddance, slithery year.
I was hoping that by this time, my game Link Omega would have been done or nearly done, but unfortunately, the drains and detours that I’ve faced have been beyond measure. I promise, once things settle, I’ll make a full post, explaining everything, but for now, just know… yes, things have been delayed.
So where are we?
I haven’t worked on the game for months. Momentum has been lost. The lull has been so wide that I’m seriously considering abandoning the progress I previously made, and starting again from scratch. I have all the concepts I want to include tucked away in my human brain, but wiring them together on the computer is a different story. We’ll see…
The good news is, in spirit, I have not abandoned the project. I still very much want to make an amazing game, and rarely do I abandon my aspirations. I see things through. The question is, facing what I’m facing, can I muster up the creativity to make it all happen? I think so, it’s just going to take time. Life never runs by our schedules. We are on the cosmic clock.
As funny as it may seem, another bit of good news is that recently, my old workstation bit the dust. In all fairness, it was a pretty good machine. Granted, I had been making upgrades to it over the years, but it was starting to get dated. Workflows were feeling bogged down and creativity was being stifled.
The new rig that I bought is leaps and bounds better than my old one. I won’t bore you with all the specs, but I’d say it’s a noticeable difference of a factor of X20, which is kinda crazy.
In all the new rigs I’ve bought over the years, I’ve never experienced such a boost. It’s refreshing to have a machine that can keep up to me.
So what comes next? What does Wolfy Bank have planned for 2026?
Well… I don’t want to make any promises, because I honestly don’t know. Life is unpredictable.
That said, if everything just clicks and just goes perfectly, here is what I’d like to happen;
- Finish the game, get it on Steam.
- Establish 3 new good clients, for my creative development business.
- Find traction with my music on Spotify and get 5,000+ monthly listeners.
- Stream more, engage with the world, and pick up some sponsorships.
- Win a WSOP bracelet.
Delusional? Maybe – but what is life without delusion? So cheers to keeping hopes and dreams alive. Anyways, that’s all for now. I’ll update more, as life updates me.
Side note: if you haven’t checked it out, The Poker Album dropped in December. It’s a fun little 14 track album. Created with AI. If you couldn’t guess from the title, it revolves around the game of poker. Lots of gems included.
Here is an unreleased “live” performance of one of the songs, I’m all in:
